Wastewaters from paper recycling typically contain high levels of COD and BOD5, as well as a relatively moderate content of TSS and color (generally of an inorganic type) although much depends on the origin of the raw material. The relationship between COD and BOD5; usually means that biological process applications are generally more suitable.
BIOTECS AnUp↑-SB, BIOTECS AnUp↑-SB+ or BIOTECS AnUp↑-C-Series anaerobic reactors or BIOTHOL (where there is a high volume organic load) would generally be suggested, usually preceded or combined with other appropriate treatment phases.
