In recent years, the introduction of anaerobic processes to treat wastewaters from chemical, petrochemical and textile indusíries has begun to accelerate with some excellent operational results.
Wastewater coming from these industries, which use glycol, PET (“Polyethylene Terephthalate”), PTA (“Purified Terephthalic Acid”), acrylic monomers (formaldehyde and acrylic acid) and cyanide (among others) has been successfully treated using anaerobic and/or aerobic processes.
